Welcome to St. Mary's Church in Market Drayton, Shropshire.

Standing in a beautiful churchyard high above the Tern valley, and yet only a short walk from the centre of town, St. Mary’s church dominates the local landscape.

Both physically and spiritually St. Mary’s is at the heart of this busy community. Serving a parish of over 4,000 people, and with links to those doing God’s work both at home and abroad the church provides fellowship, teaching, healing and sanctuary to all those seeking to deepen their faith or to discover the truth of His love for each one of us.

The Reverend Martin Tanner was Licensed as the new Priest-in-Charge at St. Mary’s on 5th August. 

 

The Licensing was conducted by the Bishop of Lichfield the Right Reverend Jonathan Gledhill.

 

The service was attended by well over 200 people including local dignitaries and a number of parishioners from Martin’s previous church in Desborough, Northamptonshire.
